Forging Collaborative Relationship with Auburn University Fiber and Polymer Department
Vickie Mando, Axiom Research Engineer to the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) accompanied Dr. Paul St. Onge and Dr. Lori St. Onge to Auburn University in an effort to establish a collaborative relationship with the AU Fiber and Polymer Department.
Specifically, unfunded research opportunities were presented to the department. Ideally, students will be able choose a topic of interest for their thesis which directly relates to research being done at the USAARL. Material testing capabilities of the department were also discussed giving the USAARL the opportunity to utilize testing equipment that is not available onsite. Fostering this relationship is beneficial for the lab, the department, the students, and ultimately the Warfighter.
